Welcome!
With the cost of a transplant often exceeding $500,000, many transplant families are unable to shoulder the financial burden of such a procedure. The Children’s Organ Transplant Association (COTA) is a national charity dedicated to organizing and guiding communities in raising funds for transplant-needy patients. In Alabaster, volunteers are raising funds for transplant patients like local boy, Bryan Carr!
Bryan is the son of Jay and Christine Carr. Born on March 2, 2008, Bryan was diagnosed with PNP Deficiency on February 3, 2012. The doctors at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina, have recommended a life-saving bone marrow transplant. A recommended $100,000 is being raised by family, friends, and volunteers.
